Christmas Furiends: Day 10

Today, we decided to post our photo! Here's the 3 of us just lounging in front of the tree! We are definitely dreaming of Christmas noms!!

Agility Day

Yesterday was agility day for me and Mom. Unlike last week, which was cool, yesterday it was back to the good ol' summertime!! By the time we got there at 10 a.m. it was about 85 degrees, furry HOT! I worked really good from Moms and Ms. Mary Jo for about 40 minutes. New things I did yesterday were: the tunnel, teeter totter, table, and the A-frame. Moms and Dad said that I was so good at it, that they are going to attempt to build me some agility equipment at home. Even our nice extra grandma down the street said that I could use her fenced backyard to practice!!

After that good 40 minutes, I was done. I was just too hot. I kept going to Ms. Mary Jo's back door and trying to get inside. We decided to call it a day. On the way home, Moms and I stopped at Sonic for a cool slushie! It was a furry exciting, hot day. I was furry tired and decided to nap for the rest of the day!!

Let's Take A Walk

This was my afternoon walkie on Easter. Moms and I really enjoyed all the pretty flowers.

2nd Annual Paws for the Cause

Moms and I had SUCH a grrreat time at the Paws for the Cause 5 kay and 1 mile walk. Since I had never run a 5 kay before, Moms decided to enter us into the walk. I trained long and hard to achieve my goal. It took LOTS of afternoon walkies. I had to focus! I couldn't let myself check pee-mail, say hello to friends, or run through the ditches. After several training walkies, Moms started training me to run along side her.

The morning of race day, Moms got me up and dressed me in my "Captain Awesome" t-shirt. We both ate a light breakfast and loaded up in the car. It wasn't a very long drive, and I'm glad. Long car rides give me the sickies. We all met at this place Moms called, "the square". There was a big builing there with a really nice lawn. Moms let the race people know that we were there. They gave her a bag and a t-shirt. I got treats!! SQUEEE! Moms thought that I needed to warm up, so we walked around the square and the big building there several times. We got back to the start and started to get ready to go. The race was running a few minutes late, so I got the time to meet several new friends.

This is Paco. He is a chi wa wa mix. I thought he looked a lot like Shingo.




There was a cute little doxie there too. She made me think of Molly.



There were LOTS of big dogs there too!

Then I met a REALLY BIG dog! Moms said his name was Bernard or something.





Bernard really liked us little fellas.


Next, I met a couple that were polly licking for the new mayor.

After visiting with friends, I was really ready to race. Here's me and Moms posing for our pre-race pics.




The race finally started, and I was SOOO uber excited!! Mom decided that I was doing well enough that we ran the entire mile!!! It was SOOOO much fun!!! I ran like the wind!!! Moms and I were some of the very first dog runners over the finish line too!!! How about that?!! My first race!! Here's my post race picture. I was REALLY thirsty afterwards.


I had so much fun and I did so well, that Moms and I are going to do it again next year. It was a very good cause too. All the money made on the race went to our new spay/neuter clinic. It was a pawsome way to spend the morning with Moms.

Afternoon Fall Walk

Late Sunday afternoon, Moms took me for a REALLY nice walk. It was nice and warm, and we walked until dark! The leaves had started falling, and I had a great time walking through the piles and walking through them in the ditches. Check out how much fun me and my friend, Trixie, were having in the leaves!



We went through the park again, and our horse buddy seemed to be glad to see us. She and Mom visited quite a bit! Mom says next time, we're taking an apple with us, because horsies LOVE apples!



It's raining today, so I'll probably have to wait until tomorrow for another walk! I can't wait!

More Walking Fun

I've been very lucky this week. Moms and I have been able to walk every day!! I also really like walking a longer distance. In addition to the horses I met earlier in the week, I've met a new walking buddy. We decided to walk a different street home than normal, and I met this furfriend on the way.



He's walked with us all week to the end of his yard. We kind of like to play, while we walk. I don't know his name yet, but I'll find out soon. Here's some video Moms took of us yesterday.

Me and the Horses

Yesterday, the weather was nice so Moms took me for a nice, long walk. We walked all over the neighborhood so I could check the peemail. After a little while, Moms took me over to the park that is across the big road full of hooman carts. It's a nice park, with LOTS of peemail there! On the back side of the park, there's a BIG pasture. It had several of the biggest dogs that I've EVER SEEN!!! They were even bigger than my sister Fergie! Moms told me those weren't dogs. She said that they were horses. I just had to stop and stare at them for a good while.







Then when I got brave enough (still not really sure about those big dogs), I decided to have a talk with the one that came up to the fence. Moms got some video of our little talk.



I had a GREAT time on my walk yesterday. I hope it doesn't rain this afternoon. I'm ready to go have a talk with those big dogs again!

Handy Around The House

Usually on one of Mom's days off, she does this thing she calls "housecleaning". I don't really care for that day, since we have to stay out of the way. My sisters, Fergie, Shiloh, and Daisy usually HATE that day. That hate that thing Mom calls the "vacyuuuum". Anyway this week I wanted Mom to finish fast, so we could all cuddle. I decided to help with the dishes. What do ya'll think?





Mom calls me her little "pre-washer". I have no idea what that means. Do any of you help your Mom clean out there in blogland?

It's the Weekend!!

Mom hasn't been feeling so good the past several days. She has had something wrong with her ears, so she stumbles around a lot. She's been home, since Wednesday. We're very sorry that she's sick, but we've enjoyed having her home with us. We've gotten in LOTS of snuggle time. She even felt well enough yesterday to make some new pictures of me. I just love to look out the window!

Here I am dreaming of all the mischief that I could get into outside.




That's my new Halloween shirt. Mom wanted me to try it on. She's saving the big reveal for later.

Tomorrow is the Blessing of the Animals at the Episcopal Church. Mom's planning on going and taking one of us with her. Every year, she takes someone different. Since I have 7 brothers and sisters, we all have to wait our turn. I'm sure she'll post pictures of the event tomorrow. Hope everyone is having a WAG-TASTIC weekend!!

Family Introductions

Mom told me that some readers might be confused about who is who in our rather large family. So, I decided to introduce you to all of my brother's and sisters. So here goes:

This is my sister, Molly. Molly has some attitude around the house. She thinks that she's the princess or something...



Then, there's my CRAZY brother Shingo. Mom says that he's FINALLY finished going through his terrible twos!! He was quite annoying, while he was doing that too!!



So now you know the "Fiesty Three". Hope that gives you a better idea of who we are, and hopefully, this will satisfy Mom too. In the next few posts, I'll introduce you to the rest of the family!!

We Like Naps

Hallo thar!! It's Indy here. We sure do like naps around my house. Me especially. I just love to snuggle with Mom. She calls me her little "snuggle bunny"! I think Mom likes to nap as much as we do!! BOL!! Here's a few shots Dad snuck and took, while we were napping.
