Frosty Paws

Since Friday noon, we've all been stuck at home. A big winter storm came our way, and the weather men REALLY got it right this time. We've had snow, sleet, and ice on top of the snow that fell on Friday. Moms and Dad have been home all weekend. Moms even got a long weekend, since the library was shut down. Since Moms was home yesterday, I got to go out into the snow and play. Moms made some video with her new camera too! It was really cold and snowy all day long yesterday, so we didn't get to stay out long. She only got to go out with me, Fergie, and Jack. The surface of the snow and the stairs were too slippery for us all to go at one time. Here's me, Moms and the gang having fun in the snow. Boy, my paws sure were frosty afterwards!!

The videos of Molly and Shingo will be posted soon!

Feetsies Addict

Earlier this week over at her blog, Twix, admitted that her Moms was a feetsies addict. She takes LOTS of pictures of Twix's feetsies, because she loves them so much. We have to admit that our Moms is an addict as well. Moms says it all started, when she brought Shingo home. She says (blech) that he had the cutest little feetsies. He would do this stretching thing with his legs out behind him, and it looked like he was posing. Moms called it his "Playboy Puppy Feet". Then when I came home, I was only 5 weeks old. I had pink baby feetsies, which just made Moms squee! We knew her addiction was bad, when we found these in her photo album.

We think Moms is just downright weird sometimes. Please tell us that your Moms do weird stuff too!!

Shingo's Adventure

Moms had been wondering where Shingo had gone. She got a call from Moose down at the Southernmost Moose Lodge. Seems all of the Sporty Dogs from the Mango Minster Contest have decided to high tail it down to the Keys for a little trip. They ended up swarming (is that even a good phrase to use, when doggies are involved?) the Keys. It even made the local paper.

Moms and Dad were quite horrified, when they saw the paper! Anyway, Moms said she had a few words to say to Shingo, after she found out he'd taken off without telling anyone or inviting any of us! She made a few phone calls and finally got in touch with him. After the yelling and the scolding, she got down to asking him what he'd been up to down there. Later in the afternoon, she got a pee mail from him that included these pictures. Looks like he's been into some high adventures for sure!

First the contestants got chased by a giant lobster!! EEEK!!

Then a group went out and did some parasailing one afternoon.

It sure sounds like he's having an exciting time. We can't wait to see what he gets into next, or how long he'll be grounded from treats, when he gets home!!

We're In The Pup Scouts Now!

We are so very excited. Captain Crunch, Candy, and Martine from I Need A Sugar Fix. Have invited us to become Pup Scout members.

When Moms told us the news, we were all very excited, especially me!!

First, we had to raise our right paw and take the Pup Scout oath.

"On the honor of my paw I will do my best
to do my duty to my fur and non-fur community
& to obey the Pup Scout Law
to help other pups and their people at all times
to keep myself in tip top pup condition,
furry aware & ready at a moments notice."

Then, we were in!! We had Moms take our first official pictures as Pup Scouts with the flashy box.

Me

Molly

Shingo

This morning, we attended the furry first Pup Scouts meeting. First, we sang a song.
"Everywhere we go-o
An-imals want to know-o
Who we a-are
And where we come from
So we tell them
We're from Order of the Paw
Mighty, mighty Pup Scouts
And if they can't hear us
We woof a little louder!"

Then we all took the oath together. We all received our first Pup Scout merit badges.

Next, we decided on our troop service projects and how to raise funds for them.
- eradicating our neighborhoods of squirrels!
- creating legislation to stop the pupperazzi form taking our photos!

We all decided to sell Pup Scout Biscuits!!

This is our other project.

We all visited, and then we closed the meeting with another song.
"Be a good Pup Scout, and always wag your tail,
Be a good Pup Scout, give licks all the time,
It's the creed, yes indeed, that a Pup Scout must practice merrily.

Help those in need - do a Good Turn daily,
Be a good Pup Scout - be Loyal, Sweet and Brave,
On your honor, do your best
When they put you to the test.
And always be a good Pup Scout!"

We just LOVE being Pup Scouts!! If any of you other pups want to join our troop, head over to Martine, Captain Crunch, and Candy's to be recruited!!

Photogenic

I've been practicing my poses for Moms' new camcorder. I don't move a lot, because she's always told me to be still. Now, she tells me to move around. Make up your mind. Which one is it Moms? Anyway, here's what I've come up with so far. What do you guys think?

I'm a little shy at first.

We hope you all have a wooferful holiday weekend!
