Celebration Pet Day 2011

Hello efurone!! Long time, no bark! Moms has been so busy with her swim team, church, a new job position, and school that it's been hard to get her to type for us!! The nerve! We sat her down and had a long talk with her, so hopefully things will be much better now.

This past weekend, Moms and Dad did their annual big help at Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association's 7th Annual Celebration Pet Day. Moms created the event herself, but for the last 2 years, another nice lady has run the event. There were lots of vendors, other rescues, dog, cats, and other pets there! There were even visitors from Star Wars!! Moms entered me in the pet show in the "Cutest Tail" class and the "Most Handsome" class. I took 3rd place in the "Cutest Tail" class and 5th in the "Most Handsome" class. A super cool Madolorian Bounty Hunter took me into my "Most Handsome Class"! It was so cool! I met a lot of really neat dogs and people. I got to make a really cool painting at the Puppy Picaso booth too! Here are some shots of my day. My formal ribbon picture will be coming soon!

BIG Weekend!!

This past Saturday was the 6th Annual Celebration Pet Day Dog Show. All the proceeds went to benefit the Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association. Since my brother, Jack, got to go last year, Moms said that it was my turn this year. I was sooo excited. I was a little worried about the car ride, but it turned out fine!! YAY!! I usually don't do real well in the car, but I was all fine Saturday. When we got there, I got to meet all kinds of neat dogs!! There was a dog there that was nearly as big as a horse! Moms said he was a Great Dane!!

Everything was so exciting there!! So many new furiends! The kitchen lady even treated me with a hotdog!! In the afternoon, Moms entered me in the Rescue Dog class. That's a class especially for dogs that have pawrents that rescued them! Believe it or not, I won 2nd place in the class! As soon as Moms gets my picture with my ribbon, she'll post it up for me. Moms was so proud of me!! We even practiced my obedience in the crowds, and I was able to listen and do a good job for Moms! Here is some videos of the dog show and some of my new furiends that Moms took.

Since I was SUCH a good boy at the dog show, Moms took me on a 2 mile walkie on Sunday!! This weekend was just full of treats!!

Celebration Pet Day

Every year, Mom organizes a community wide event called Celebration Pet Day for our local humane association, Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association. She usually tries to take one of us with her for a bit. We're a bit too much to handle as a group. In fairness Mom took our new brother, Jack, out for the day this year. The little pipsqueak even managed to wiggle his way into the Rescued Pet class in the pet show. Jack ended up taking 5th place in the class!! Way to go big brother! We're good friends with the photographer that was there, so Jack got some pictures made. What do you guys think?

This is our Mom with Jack.
