Haroo there! I wanted to grab a minute of blogspace from the blog hogs. I want to wish my very special Valentine, Miss Dixie Doodle, a Happy Valentine's Day. I haven't seen Dixie, since last October, and I miss her everyday!!
I'm very vocal with my luvins. When Moms tries to hug me up, I tell her how much I love her!! My auntie Linda took this video of me and Moms, when we visited her last month.
Well, I'm officially now a traveling man, oh erm, dog. Moms and Dad got me up early (before my usual piddle break) on Saturday morning. The sent me out to go potty but I was so excited, I just sat by the car and waited. They got the hooman cart loaded and ready to go, and we were off. I sat in Moms' lap, so I could navigate for Dad.
We got nearly to a place Moms calls Chattanooga, and since I had refused to go potty, my legs were crossing. So, I begged Moms and Dad to stop. They had the nicest piddle place at that place and a big water thing that Moms called Nickajack Lake.
Look at me!! I'm waaaay up on the hill!!
We got back in the hooman cart and kept going south. We made a few more piddle stops along the way. Some stops were for Moms and Dad, and some were for me. We finally got to the place called Cordele late in the afternoon. Moms and Dad went to get our crate ready for the night. (Do you believe they have these big buildings full of crates for Moms and Dads and traveling furkids?) The ladies at the desk were REALLY nice. They gave me treats! I really liked our crate. Especially the big comfy, fluffy cover on the bed!!
After a quick nap, we headed my friend Dixie's house and to see her Mom and Grandma, Linda and Della.
This is Mama Linda.
Mama Linda and Dixie.
There were so many great people to visit with. Linda's hooman kid, Jason, was there. He was VERY nice, and I liked for him to pet me.
I also liked Grandma Della VERY much. She gave me supper and treats and a lifesaver the next morning too!
I had never met Dixie before, but I really liked her. We sat and visited on the couch on a great blanket, just for us!!

Visiting with Dixie.
We were so tired, later that night, that we decided to catch a quick nap, while everyone else visited.
I was SO sleepy, by the time it was time to go back to the crate.
We all got some sleep, and I was raring to go the next morning, as you can see by this video!
After some breakfast chow, we went back to visit Mama Linda and Grandma Della. We were only there for a little bit, because we had to get back home to my brothers and sisters. We had a nice visit and a long goodbye, and we were back in the hooman cart. I was SO tired by then from my big trip, that I rode in the back seat, where I could stretch out. Eventually I fell asleep.
Before I knew it we were all back home, and my big trip was finished. I was sad, but Moms and Dad said we were going again at Christmas time. Oh boy! I can't wait!
Hi there!! Jack here. Mom had really wanted to take me to Dog Dayz in Nashville today, .//////////////////////////////// (See that? That was caused by my blogger hogger brother, Indiana!! He stepped on the keyboard!)but she had to work. She and Dad figured out a very nice compromise. Dad drove Mom into work today. This afternoon, he took me with him to go and get her. Then, I got a little worried, because we just kept driving across town! I had no idea where we were going! Turns out we were going to Bark Park. There is a huge area for little dogs and a separate area for big dogs. There were no other littles there but me. There were several big dogs, and I enjoyed making friends and visiting with them. I ran and played with Mom and Dad. I love Bark Park, and I hope we go again soon!
After we left Bark Park, I got suprised again with a trip to PetSmart. I got to visit and smell everything there! Then, I got a teenie greenie as a treat. I was so tired that I slept all the way home! I had a great day!!
Hey there folks! Jack here. Since I'm one of the newest members of the family, Mom and Dad decided to take me to the Blessing of the Animals. This is one of their favorite services of the year. Every year, they choose one of my brothers and sisters to attend with them. It was my turn this year. I met SO many new animal friends today. The service was a little shorter than usual, because it was raining. It's usually held in a great, little courtyard. I just loved the words that Pastor Whalen spoke as well:
Most high, almighty Lord, our Creator, yours are the praise, the glory, the honour and all blessings! To you alone do all things belong. Be praised for giving us the animals, birds and fish which fill your world. May we think of you and thank you when we play with and care for our pets. Be praised for making us so happy to have our pets and to have them to play with. We ask you, Lord, that we may be good to our pets always, so that they may be happy also. Help us always to take care of them so that they will be healthy. O God, your world is wonderful. May we all come into your even greater world of the kingdom of heaven where we shall see even more wonderful things and where we shall live and love for ever. This we ask to your eternal praise, and to our blessing. Amen.
Mom and Dad meant to take pictures of my blessing, but after they got there they realized they had forgotten the memory card. Oh well, there was a nice lady making all of our pictures. Hopefully, I can get a copy of it.
To all of my animal friends out there, I wish you a very happy Feast of St. Francis Day!
Every year, Mom organizes a community wide event called Celebration Pet Day for our local humane association, Shelbyville-Bedford County Humane Association. She usually tries to take one of us with her for a bit. We're a bit too much to handle as a group. In fairness Mom took our new brother, Jack, out for the day this year. The little pipsqueak even managed to wiggle his way into the Rescued Pet class in the pet show. Jack ended up taking 5th place in the class!! Way to go big brother! We're good friends with the photographer that was there, so Jack got some pictures made. What do you guys think?
