Bedtime Prayer

This is our new bedtime prayer. It's so fitting, since it's getting cold, snuggly weather!

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king sized bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove,
My human beings can hardly move!
I've trapped their legs, they're tucked in tight,
And here is where I pass the night.
No one disturbs me or dare intrude,
Till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin,
And nibble on my human's chin.
For the morning's here, it's time to play.
I always seem to get my way!

So thank you, Lord, for giving me
This human person that I see.
The one who hugs me and holds me tight,
And shares their bed with me at night.

UPDATE: There are so many furiends needing our prayers right now, please see our Paws of Prayer page for the latest updates.

  16. I love this! I'm pretty sure my boys say this prayer at night, especially the part about hogging the middle of the bed. I don't understand how two little chihauhuas manage to take up a whole queen bed but I swear they do! bol

  27. Hey Fiesty Ones!
Wow! This is great...I think I need to share this with Mom and Dad. They seemed to have missed the news that I belong in bed with them. I've tried subtle hints, but they're being thick about this. Maybe your prayer will do the trick! Thanks for sharing.
